For any card payments, please select the "PayPal or Debit or Credit Card" payment option.  You will then be transferred to PayPal's secure server for payment processing.  Please note that you do not need to have a PayPal account to pay by card; we simply use PayPal to process all our card transactions.

If you'd like to pay by bank transfer then please select the "Cash on Delivery" option and we will contact you separately to arrange payment.

Please let us know if anything regarding payment or payment methods is unclear.

All of our items are printed/embroidered to order so timescales are slightly longer than with off-the-shelf products.  The vast majority of our products can be purchased, designed, printed/embroidered and delivered within 10-14 days of an order being placed.  If you need something quicker then please let us know and we will do our very best to accommodate.  If we are unable to meet a deadline then we will be upfront and honest with you so that you are not left disappointed after placing an order.

Our prices are shown excluding postage - however the website cart updates in real time so for UK customers at least, there are no nasty postage surprises when you get to the check-out.  We're working on setting up postage rates for international customers but for now if you have any unusual postage requirements (e.g. you want us to send something outside of the UK or by Special Delivery) then please let us know before placing an order as there may be additional postage charges.

Most orders will be delivered using the Royal Mail standard 3-5 day service or MyHermes 3 day service.  Heavy or bulky orders will be delivered using a reputable courier such as MyHermes, Parcel Force or TNT.

We are able to source a huge range of workwear, fashion clothing and printable products through our large network of trade suppliers and product manufacturers.  A small selection is available on the website but there are hundreds of lines available that we haven't yet added.  If you would like to explore other options then please get in touch to discuss your requirements in more detail.

Personalisation / Customisation

We will work with you to create a design that suits you and the recipient.  We don't mind if you want to be the artist and create your own design or if you want us to provide a bit of inspiration and produce some design ideas for you.  We don't stipulate the number of photos you can upload or the size/positioning of text.  You're paying for a personalised product so we believe this is what you should get.  For printing, we will always send you a .pdf proof for you to approve before the printing/pressing takes place.

For personalised printing and embroidery items, please choose the items you would like then e-mail us at info@discofish.co.uk with details of the designs you'd like.   A large selection of potential embroidery designs can be found at: http://www.embroiderysewing.com/ but others are available.

Printing is pretty flexible as the dye sublimation Dye Sublimation
"Dye sub" printing is the application of sublimation inks into a product using a heat press to provide the required combination of heat, time and pressure
system we use allows for full colour printing.  Providing there are no copyright issues then we can print almost anything.

Vinyl/flock requires a bit more work as the usual method is to cut and apply each colour separately.

Embroidery work is even more complicated as custom logos or text will often need digitizing Digitizing
Digitizing (or punching) is the process of turning your artwork into a format that an embroidery machine can understand.
before they can be embroidered.  There are thousands of stock embroidery designs available so if you want a squirrel or a child on a see-saw or a pumpkin, etc. we'll probably be able to find one without needing to get one digitized.  If we can source a stock image then we'll only look to recover costs; however, if you want your company logo or a very specific image then we will need to bring in the digitizers and there will be a one-off set up fee to carry out this work.  Once an image has been digitized then it can be embroidered any number of times.

Digitizing is £12+VAT for logos up to 10cm x 10cm and £25+VAT for larger images up to 30cm x 20cm.  Once a file has been digitized and converted to an embroiderable format we will keep this on file.  Please note that and embroidery file is effectively a map of where each stitch starts and finishes.  They cannot be stretched of shrunk by more than about 5% otherwise the stitches become too dense or sparse.  The "same" logo in two different sizes (e.g. a left breast logo and a full back image) would require two different embroidery files.
